animuL67 - Snowman Can Holder – Skinny 12 oz
About This Title
The snowman family is growing! This time I've got the Skinny 12 oz Snowman Can Holder, designed for those taller, slimmer cans. This version carries over the same design as the standard 12 oz snowman, complete with the carrot nose, coal buttons, scarf, and those big eyes that give him a little personality.
There is one small difference with this version that I actually ended up liking quite a bit: both his head and scarf can rotate!
When I designed the original standard 12 oz version, I specifically made the top button lock the head in place to keep everything aligned. But after working on this version, I realized there really wasn't much reason to prevent it from rotating. In fact, it's kind of fun! You can turn his head and rotate his scarf independently to give him a little personality, pose him differently, or just fidget with him. It's a simple little feature, but I think it adds some charm.
Printing & AssemblyJust like the original, this design prints in separate pieces, so an AMS is not required! The only multicolor components are the eyes if you want the black eyes with white highlights as shown. You can also print them solid black, customize them with different colors, or even paint your own eyes. They print flat, face down, and snap into place.
Everything snaps together — no glue or additional hardware required.
Assembly is pretty straightforward:
Print the individual components.
Slide the scarf onto the head.
Snap the head, with the scarf in place, onto the body.
Snap in the eyes, carrot nose, and coal buttons whenever you like.
That's it! Unlike the standard 12 oz version, there's no special button installation sequence or alignment requirement.
Fuzzy Skin SettingsAs with the original snowman, I like the look of fuzzy skin on the white body and scarf. It gives the snowman a textured finish that helps mimic snow rather than leaving everything perfectly smooth.
Fuzzy skin does increase print time, so I've kept the painting limited to the visible surfaces rather than wasting time texturing areas that won't be seen.
If you'd prefer a smooth finish, you can remove the fuzzy skin in Bambu Studio in either of two ways:
Option 1 – Disable Fuzzy Skin Globally
Switch to Global settings.
Open the Others tab.
Find the Fuzzy Skin setting.
Change it from None (Allow Paint) to Disabled.
Option 2 – Remove the Fuzzy Skin Painting
Select Fuzzy Skin Painting from the top toolbar.
Select the part.
Use Erase All Painting to remove the applied fuzzy skin areas.
Included LidThis version includes the Stealth Sipper Lid – Twist-Lock Version, one of my more popular lid options.
It allows you to drink directly from the can without removing the lid, while also keeping the contents a little more discreet.
Additional SizesI've got the 375 mL and standard 16 oz versions on my list, with other sizes always a possibility if there's enough interest.
I'm really happy with how this little guy turned out, and I think the rotating head and scarf are fun additions that I hadn't originally planned on. Sometimes those little unexpected design differences end up being features rather than compromises!
As always, I look forward to seeing what color combinations and customizations everyone comes up with.
Happy printing!
