Jays Wintry Mix - Winter Seasonal Models Update
About This Title
The Euro and Cansips seasonal models both have come out and really this is the last update I am interested in. By next month, the Euro Weeklies will take us to early December. Lets quickly touch on some of the highlights
1) Both are still very wet. Nothing has really changed in the past few months. This will be a wet winter likely with lots of gulf/southern action
2) Both models tend to look snowier as the winter wears on. Most of the historic blizzards of an El Nino have come in Late January to Presidents day. Both models see February as the coldest winter month
Both models of have January near normal. The one month they really differ is December. Cansips has December near normal to slightly above
while Euro has a torch in our source region(Canada) and most of the northern US
so the bottom line is---we will have plenty to track and plenty of chances to score but we will also have a good number of rain and 48 type days.
there is not much blue on the Globe this Winter--but thankfully where it is--is in our backyards but i don't love that Canada is that warm. Brings me back flashbacks of the horrific 23-24 winter. However this winter coming up has an el nino on a scale we have never had before so it should be interesting.
So---thats really it for the seasonal models. Again, by November 1st--the Euro weeklies will be in winter range. Again, with this winter there is one big question.
Can we have a good window or two of cold air to support all the storminess that we will see coming from the south.
and yes---i did peak at the Euro weeklies and it has a warm pre Thanksgiving :(
